自己紹介	アフリカ研究、政治学、グローバル?スタディーズにおけるいくつかの主要分野にまたがる研究を行う。特にアフリカの農村部や都市のインフォーマルな居住地における政治的エスノグラフィーを専門とし、分権化、ガバナンス、政治的争い、デジタルの利用、社会から疎外されたコミュニティの回復力といったテーマを検証している。また、ガバナンス構造、社会運動、グローバリゼーションとテクノロジーの進歩の影響など、アフリカ政治のより広範な問題にも取り組んでいる。主な研究分野は東アフリカ、特にケニアとアフリカ人全般。サハラ以南のアフリカにおける複雑な社会政治現象を探求するため、人類学、政治学、地域研究の手法を活用した学際的なアプローチに取り組んでいる。
