「厳封」とあったので、自分で封をしたのですが、受理されますか。
I sealed documents by myself to follow the instuction that says "Submit documents in a sealed envelope". Is it acceptable?

  厳封とは、

  「のり付けされたフタの境目に、封筒の中身の書類を作成した者の印や「〆」「封」という文字で封印処理がされたもの」

です。

  本学において厳封を求めるものの多くは証明書になりますが、証明書で厳封を求めているものについては「発行機関により厳封されたもの」でなければ受理できません。

  また、推薦書については、｛必ず｝推薦者もしくは推薦者の所属機関により厳封されたものを提出してください。

※
  厳封の文化がない国から取り寄せる場合、厳封処理をしてもらえるかを確認してください。

  厳封処理をしてもらえない場合は、「出身校に依頼したが、対応してもらえなかった」旨のメモを同封し、証明書を送ってください。 

　Sealed means "The envelope which documents are enclosed is sealed and stamped on the flap. In Japan for example, the flap is usually stamped with a person's stamp or marked with a letter 「〆」or「封」.

　The sealed documents are mostly certificates. If you are required to submit sealed envelope, that means it should be provided by the authority in a sealed envelope otherwise it is not accepted.

　Also for a recommendation letter, make sure it is provided in a sealed envelope by the issuing authority. 　※If there is no such culture in your country, first check your school if it is possible. 　

　Nonetheless if obtaining sealed certificate is not possible, attach a memo to your documents such as "I asked for a sealed envelope but my request was not granted." and send them to us.
