Picture Books Translated by TUFS Students Are Published In Cambodia
December 4, 2013
In October 2013, picture books translated from Japanese into Cambodian by TUFS students were published in Cambodia. Kana Ito, Mio Ito and Nagato Tanaka (all 3rd year Cambodian majors, Faculty of Foreign Studies) translated four series of “I Don’t Want To!” (written by Keiko Sena and published by Fukuinan Shoten Publishers, Inc.) and three volumes of the picture book titled “Kagaku no tomo.” These got permission for translation officially and are published by the NPO, Caring for Young Khmer for Cambodia. The translated picture books are distributed through the NPO’s nursery teacher trainings and getting popular among children in nurseries in Cambodia.
