TUFS Graduate Student Places in the "2013 Hong Kong Cup All Japan University Students English Speech Contest"

The “2013 Hong Kong Cup All Japan University Students English Speech Contest” was hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR)’s Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo and co-hosted by Japan News. The contest was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) among others. The contest took place on Saturday December 14 and Shunsuke Minemura (1st year Master’s Program) won the Fighting Spirit Award.

This speech contest is held every year for undergraduate and graduate students from non-English-speaking countries with the aim of strengthening friendly relations between Hong Kong and Japan. After the documentary examination, 5 minutes English speech and 3 minutes Q&A session with the judges were conducted in the finals and all the four winners of the 1st prize to Fighting Spirit Award will be given the chance of a short-term study abroad at The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a supplementary prize.
