TUFS Postgraduate Wins the Best Prize at National Tournament of Phonetic Society of Japan

On September 28th and 29th, the 27th National Conference of Phonetic Society of Japan took place at Kanazawa University, Kakuma campus and Anatoly Vakhromeev (1st year of Master’s Programs, Faculty of the Graduate School of Global Studies) won first prize.
This academic award is given to the research which is found to be especially outstanding among all the oral and poster presentations by the Phonetic Society of Japan to encourage the development of phonetics. Mr. Vakhromeev’s research presentation titled “Acoustic Feature and Origin of Voiceless Coronal Plosive in L2 Russian of Japanese Native Speakers” was awarded this time.
