Professor Kawaji's Book Publishing Ceremony Held in Palau

On Monday, November 24th, Belau National Museum held a book publishing ceremony, and TUFS professor Yuka Kawaji (Graduate School of Global Studies) was invited.
The ceremony was held to celebrate publishing of Kawaji’s book “Nakajima Atsushi’s Mariyan and Maria Gibbon, its Inspiration”. Tommy E. Remengesau, President of the Republic of Palau, cabinet ministers, the Japanese ambassador to Palau, tribal chiefs, and the descendants of Maria Gibbon were among the guests.
Both Nakajima’s short story and Kawaji’s book provided an opportunity to enhance relations between Japan and the Republic of Palau. The attendees used the opportunity to deepen understanding between Japan and Palau.
