Lecture for 2016 Japan Foundation Award Winner Centro Brasileiro de Língua Japonesa held 20th October

On Thursday 20 th October 2016, a lecture took place at TUFS to mark the presentation of the 2016 Japan Foundation Award to the Centro Brasileiro de Língua Japonesa (Brazilian Centre for Japanese Language). The lecture, entitled 'The Situation and Challenges of Japanese Language Education for Future Generations: The Meaning of Japanese Language and Culture to Brazilian Youths' was given by the centre's president, Mr. Armando Toshiharu Tachibana.
Since it was established in 1985, Centro Brasileiro de Língua Japonesa has been promoting the diffusion of Japanese language and culture in Brazil.
Many students attended including the students of Portuguese and Latin American area studies, and a lively question and answer session took place. Following the lecture, an exchange meeting was held for the students.
