Portuguese Ambassador to Japan pays courtesy call to President Hayashi

On Wednesday the 25th of May, H.E. Mr. Vitor Paulo da Costa Sereno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Portugal in Japan, visited TUFS President Kayoko Hayashi.
Ambassador Sereno assumed his new position as Ambassador to Japan last month. Director and Vice President Chika Takeda, Visiting Associate Professor Lucio de Souza and Lecturer Osamu Mizunuma of World Language and Society Education Centre were also present during the meeting.
Cam?es, Instituto da Cooperacao e da Lingua, an organization that promotes Portuguese language and culture, has been sending Portuguese language teachers to TUFS on an ongoing basis under an agreement signed in 2013. The Embassy recognizes the importance of this relationship and the Ambassador has offered his full cooperation to further strengthen the cooperative relationship.
It is hoped that this visit will serve as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the Embassy of Portugal in Japan and TUFS.
