Musashino during WWII – A field trip (Dec. 26(Fri), 2025)

January 7, 2026

4 students of Peace and Conflict Studies (MA) walked along the now-quiet residential area, which was the target of bombing during WWII.? The area was once the home of The Nakajima Aircraft Company Musashi Plant, which produced engines for aircraft.? We walked along the information boards about war relics, and ended our walk at Inokashira Park Zoo where the former studio of Kitamura Seibo is located.? Kitamura Seibo is the creator of the Peace Memorial Statue in Nagasaki.? The prototype of the Peace Memorial Statue is on display.
