System update and network disconnection (2014/2/3)

Dear all,
Due to the new network device which will be installed on this weekend, there will be some changes in the network system and authentification process.
Please note that your computer in your office room will be disconnected from the network system and you will need to connect the network by entering your user ID and password on the network on next Monday morning (Feb. 3rd).
Authentification process: Access http://1.1.1.1/ and enter your user ID and password on the network, or you will not be able to send/receive e-mails and/or access internet (like after winter holidays or when a blackout happens).
In some computers, you may need to access the network every time you shut down the computer network or when your computer is in a 'sleep' mode.
Although we will make an effort to minimize the impact by updating the network system, the new network system may be inconvenient for a while. We would appreciate your understanding. Thank you.

有線ネットワーク認証の仕様変更について
総合情報コラボレーションセンターでは、現在、学術情報基盤システムの更新作業を進めております。この作業は、本学の基幹サーバー、全学ネットワーク、クライアントPC等の本学の情報インフラに関する全ての機器の入れ替えを行なうもので、本学では４年に１度の周期で更新を行なっております。
年度末の全システムの完全切り替えに向けて、現在は、ネットワーク装置の切り替え作業を進めておりますが、今回の更新により、有線ネットワーク認証の仕様が現行仕様から変更されます。
現行装置では、ネットワーク認証を受けると無通信状態でも約１週間認証が維持されますが、新しい装置では最大約２日間までとなります。また、環境によってはPCの電源を落としたり、スリープ状態になった時点で再認証が必要となります。(※)
間際のご連絡で申し訳ありませんが、装置の交換作業を今週末（2/1-2/2）に実施することを予定しています。この交換作業によって新しい装置に切り替わるため、停電後と同じくネットワーク認証が切れ、再認証が必要となります。また、今後はネットワーク認証について前述の新しい仕様が適用されることになります。
システムの更新にあたっては、更新による影響を極力抑えるべく計画しておりますが、使用する情報機器が全て変更されるため、新しい機器と現行の機器との仕様の相違によって、皆様方の使用感への影響発生がどうしても避けられない場合があります。

ネットワーク認証の有効期間が最大約２日間となる
※ネットワークコンセントと機器の間にハブ等のネットワーク装置がある場合は、最大約２日間まで有効ですが、直接機器を接続している場合は、電源を落としたり、スリープ状態になった時点で認証が切れます。
