Overseas Scientific Research Forum Held at the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa on 9th July

On Saturday 9 th July 2016, the 2016 Overseas Scientific Research Forum was held at the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa.
This forum is held annually at the Research Institute with the aims of the smooth execution of the research activities of the Scientific Research Fund and Overseas Scientific Research, furthering the development of scientific research in fields overseas and supporting the exchange of information between researchers.
This year, at the workshop entitled 'Documentation in Field Sciences- Gathering, Measuring and Counting' held in the morning, an information report was given by Associate Professor Uda Shuhei from the National Museum of Energy and Koutaro Maeno, researcher at the Japan International Research Centre for Agricultural Sciences
In the general meeting held in the afternoon, Ryo Nakayama, Head of the Research Integrity Office at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, gave
a lecture and question and answer session on the direction of the Scientific Research Fund. In the regional group discussion held immediately afterwards, an exchange of information and ideas took place for each research region.
In addition, at the exhibition venue, a poster presentation on 'The Overseas Scientific Research Festival' was held for the purpose of interdisciplinary research exchange related to Overseas Scientific Research, and an extensive exchange of information took place.
On the day, around 70 researchers and administration employees, mainly those representing the Scientific Research Fund (Overseas Scientific Research), gathered for a lively exchange of ideas.
